FOUND Study Chelsea receives packages packages/envelopes throughout the business day. Students receive a notification directly from FOUND once the packaged has been sorted by a FOUND team member.
For the most successful arrival, please ensure your package is addressed as follows:
Student Name (First & Last), Unit # (if known)
300 W. 20th Street,
New York, NY 10011
Residents may pick-up packages everyday at the package room located in basement.
Food deliveries (Door Dash/ HelloFresh etc.) and other perishables are only allowed to be delivered to the lobby. Delivery people must call the resident for immediate pick-up.
There is no curfew; our residences have 24-hour front entrance security and residents can enter with their FOUND Study ID Card. However, we do have quiet hours that are New York City ordinances which are from 10pm-7am.
Yes, FOUND Study allows guest privileges for all students during the regular semester. All guests must be registered on the host's StarRez portal prior to their arrival. Depending on your affiliated school, there may be a guest hold for the first two weeks of your semester session.
To maintain the safety and health of our community, FOUND Study requires guests to be:
●At least 18 years old or legally emancipated
●Have a valid legal ID with date of birth
●Have proof of Covid vaccination
●Not convicted of any sexual or drug related offenses
All residents must submit a Guest Registration for their guest, before their arrival, regardless of guest’s length of stay. Guests are not allowed on property until they are approved by any roommate(s) (if applicable).
o Daytime Guests: Forms must be submitted at least 1 hour before the guest’s arrival.
o Overnight Guests: Forms for overnight guests staying 1-3 nights must be submitted at least 24 hours before guest’s arrival.
NOTE:
●A non-resident may not be an overnight guest in the residence for more than seven (7) nights per calendar month,
regardless of the host.
●Failure to complete and submit the form in a timely manner may result in guests not being allowed into the
building and the resident’s guest privileges being suspended.
●A resident may only have an overnight guest for 7 cumulative nights per 30 days. Any requests beyond that will be
denied.
Please note, some schools may have their own guest policies, with specific expectations. Refer to their guidelines to further understand more specifics.
No. All FOUND Study rooms are furnished with the same furniture regardless of occupancy type.
Students can expect two Twin-XL beds, two desks/chairs, two dressers, one closet, microwave, and mini-fridge.
Together, the Twin XL beds can create a regular King bed when pushed together, or for more space, students can place a maintenance request them to be bunked.
FOUND Study offers an “on request” approach to room changes for direct leasers. This means that, if a resident has requested a room and a room becomes available that meets the criteria the resident provided in their request, we will allow the resident to move to that room for the standard fee-rate outlined in their licensing agreement.
Room changes must be coordinated through FOUND and the process will vary in scope depending on your affiliated school. Room transfer requests are not guaranteed and not all requests can be granted. FOUND may ask roommates or suitemates who are experiencing conflict to participate in a mediation to address their differences instead of changing rooms, or pending the ability to grant a room transfer, and depending on the severity of the conflict.
FOUND Study has quiet hours every night 11pm-9am. Regardless of time, FOUND Study also has 24/7 courtesy hours and expects residents to respond/adjust to other requests of residents beyond these times when noise may be a disturbance.
Please refer to the Student Handbook for current noise violation fines.
You are permitted to have a bicycle, which you may store in your own room.
FOUND Study does not offer meal plans. However, every room in Chelsea is equipped with a full kitchen. We also offer a variety of discounts to local restaurants.
The beds have a clearance height of 36 Inches.
For complete FOUND Study policy, please refer to the Handbook on your StarRez Portal.
